Creating Preschool Memories: Science with Alphabet Smash

Alphabet Smash is a fun, hands-on, relationship building Christian curriculum for your preschooler or kindergartener.  It is an alphabet adventure that is engaging, simple to do and creates lifetime memories.  It is homeschooling intentionally.

I recently shared the inspiration for Alphabet Smash and mentioned some memories of fun and easy activities we did together.  Memories are the biggest take away of this curriculum.

Science is another engaging learning experience.  Most all activities were done outside or ended up in our kitchen during lunch and didn’t involve a lot of unnecessary time.

My kiddos experimented with cooking play dough (with mom’s help) so they could make and form the letter of the week with their hands.

Here are some of the things we did that I was able to snap a photo of before they disappeared:

Moon phases, for “M” week, with Oreos coincided with our study of Astronomy.

It was most helpful in learning moon phases because my kids actually had to shape the white cream filling correctly.  There were mess ups.  But what was most fun was the eating when we were done!!!  They barely left time for me to take this picture!

Rainbow in a jar, for “R” week, is one of my favorites!  The explosions of joy are as evident as the explosions of color in the jar.  (Note my little one’s lunch on bottom right.)

*TIP: You can ask a local restaurant deli for a large empty jar for free.

Volcanos for “V” week!  Even a 4 year old can do this!

A touch tank on “T” week.

We have had so much fun together trying new foods, having new experiences, playing games, and snuggling on the couch reading good books. Experiencing the alphabet can be a fun learning adventure, creating memories that last a life time.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of the memories we created with Alphabet Smash … but why take my word for it?  Why don’t you try it yourself?
