Who knew studying the moon could be so much fun?
I originally saw this idea on Pinterest , and immediately repinned.
We are studying Astronomy this year with a 6 year old and a 7th grader. Today, we ‘visited’ the moon.
It is a much more memorable way to teach the phases of the moon than just showing pictures to children.
This really is a clever and fun way to learn.
I bet my kids will never look at a gibbous waning moon the same way again.
Perfect!! Love it. Edible, bite sized edumacation.
Great idea! Luke & I are going through the Apologia Astronomy book & have been charting the phases of the moon this month. He will love making & eating Oreo moons! Rosy & I are looking forward to the Leonid meteor shower 3am Saturday, but doubt we can get our men up. 🙂
Many thanks to your hubby for introducing Luke to the flight club. It’s been an encouragement to him.
With Gratitude,
Beth S.
