Best of times? I really think so. Now, truly is a wonderful life. Everyday, there is a struggle to hold on and slow time as it is. Looking back, I see that blessings abounded in 2012; even in the trials.
I loved the invitation to reminisce. Here is my attempt at remembering the good…My Best of 2012:
Best Gift: It’s a Wonderful Life DVD from my daughter. We watch it every year.
Best/Worst thing: Cysts on my vocal chords are teaching me to quiet.
The best recipe I couldn’t not make again:
My New Homemade Crock pot Macaroni and Cheese; tweaked from my old recipe….even better. Talk about a comfort food!
- 16 oz cooked and drained macaroni
- 1/4 c butter (it’s gotta be butter, just sayin’)
- 4 eggs stirred
- 2 cans of evaporated milk
- 4-5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- Mix together in crock pot. Cook on high for 30 minutes and then low for 1 hour to 1 hour and 1/2
