Who puts the special in Special Olympics. It’s obvious that the children and athletes are first and foremost but there are others out there that help make the program what it is today.
There is a huge difference in telling your kids about poverty and actually showing them. It is important to see how poverty lives and to see that poverty’s grasp has no prejudice. One 7 shared with us their unique purpose.

During our karate banquet this past weekend, I encountered my first POW/MIA Empty Chair Ceremony. I do not know if I will ever have the chance to be a part of another ceremony such as this as we are not a military family.
