My New Favorite Thing!~

They were a bargain.  $65 for all 3 of the girls’ bikes and $20 for both The Carpet Man’s and mine.  And ours came with helmets too!  (Yard Sales are awesome!)  We have acquired them over the course of a year.

Who knew it would become my new favorite thing!~

On our MNO (Mom’s weekend at the beach) a couple weeks ago, one of the moms wanted to bring her bike as she is training for the Ramblin’ Rose in September.  That was all the encouragement we needed.

As for our name, we decided on the Biker Babes.  Well, it was between that and the Flip Floppers.  Oh, the irony. 🙂

We had SO MUCH FUN!  I knew when my feet were back at home, I wanted to start riding.

Our first bike ride was 10 1/2 miles.  My 6 yo rode that 10 1/2 miles with minimal whining.

We traveled the roads I have traveled over the course of 15 years.  Amazing how much more you can see on a bike!

Don’t we look like a hot and sweaty train wreck!!!!

Today, we rode 11 miles.  Stopped for a BLT and a coke icee.  It doesn’t get any better than that!

The rain came the last 2 miles on our way home.  But it was SOOOO worth it!!!

My oldest daughter is ready to ride to the beach.

Hmmmm…….

Think we could do it?
